Master Llyod Irvin
2004 US Olympic Judo
Team member Heavyweight Rhadi Ferguson calls Master Lloyd
"THA BADDEST MAN IN THE LAND ON THE MAT!"
We agree
Master Lloyd is one of only three Non-Brazilians to ever
receive a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt in Brazil, and
he is the first African American BJJ Black Belt. As recounted
in a feature story in Brazil's Gracie Magazine, Lloyd became
the first American to defeat a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black
Belt in Brazil, and he was just promoted to brown belt only
three days earlier.
Lloyd is the only person in the World to hold Black Belts
in BJJ, Judo and Sombo. Starting martial arts at the age
of three years old Lloyd is one of the Worlds leading experts
on leg locks; no less an authority than three-time BJJ World
Champion Fabio Gurgel calls Master Lloyd "THE KING
OF LEGLOCKS".
Master Lloyd is a 2 time National Sombo Champion, a 2 time
National Judo Champion and World recognized Jiu-Jitsu Competitor
and Coach. In 2002 he was named the United States Judo Federation
International Coach of the Year and only 2 years later produced
his first Olympian.
Although he heads a chain of a dozen schools in the USA,
Master Lloyd has launched a campaign to touch every willing
Grappler in the USA. His Grappling Blueprint is a revolutionary
method to bring your game to the highest level in the quickest
time. Leading competitors swear by it. He is the author
of the best selling book NHB Strength Training, The Grappling
Game Plan, The Nutritional Game Plan and How to reduce injuries
in combat sports.
Because he is one of the leading coaches in multiple approaches
to Grappling; having produced Champions in BJJ, Judo and
Sombo.
Because his Grappler's Blueprint is taking so many people's
skills to the next level;
And because he is tha baddest man in the land on the mat;
Master Lloyd Irvin is hereby inducted into the Grappling
Hall of Fame, as a Founding Member
