Press Release: NAGA West Coast Grappling Championship.
On September 17, 2005 the North American Grappling Association (NAGA) made its' successful debut on the west coast.
An astonishing 92 competition teams from across the United States made the journey to Cal State Dominguez Hills in Los Angeles. The event featured Samurai Swords for all 1st Place winners, along with Championship Belts for all the men and women expert division winners.
The event attracted many of the west coasts' top grapplers and NHB superstars such as BJ Penn, Joe Stevenson and Eddie Bravo. Even more exciting Cleber Luciano, Jason "Mayhem" Miller, Chris Brennen, and Drew Ficket competed that day.
The event was sponsored by Fighterwarehouse.com, Bite Me Mouthpieces and No-Gi fight products. The NAGA wants to send a special thanks to Eric Goo and his family. As well as the 36 NAGA staff members who flew out from the East Coast to run the event and all the individuals and teams that supported the event. With all the positive feedback we had, the NAGA has already made plans to return to the West Coast…
