WILDWOOD CONVENTION CENTER
The Battle at the Beach is being held at the brand new, 7000 seat Wildwood Convention Center.  The state-of-the-art facility is fully AIR CONDITIONED, right on the boardwalk, and all seating is stadium style and fully cushioned.   We have the OCEAN VIEW side on the Arena which means that the entire half of the venue is solid glass with nothing but sand, ocean and the breeze on our own private 10,000 square foot ocean front deck.

ADULT GI & NO-GI SATURDAY, KIDS/TEENS SUNDAY

Due to the large amount of competitors this tournament attracts each year, we have expanded the tournament into two days.  All adults (both gi and no-gi) will compete on Saturday, all children and teens (gi & no-gi) will compete on Sunday.  This will allow each day’s event to finish at a reasonable time.

FREE NAGA BEACH TOWELS & FLIP FLOPS
Anyone who pre-registers either online or via the mail by the pre-registration close date will receive a FREE $25 NAGA Beach Towel.  NAGA will also be handing out NAGA Flip Flops to all children, women, and men competitors FREE, just for making the trip to Wildwood.

WEIGH-IN AND REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Competitors will have the option to weigh-in on Friday evening, or weigh-in and register on the day you compete any time after 8 AM.  This means you can weigh-in and compete in both gi & no-gi competition all in one day.  You are not required to weigh-in on Friday, but the option is available to you.  Friday weigh-ins will take place from 5 PM to 8 PM at the venue.  Please note weigh in closes exactly at 8 PM so please be on time if you plan on weighing in on Friday evening.

CHAMPIONSHIP BELT
Will be awarded to the No-Gi Absolute Champion

SANDBAGGERS BEWARE
NAGA works diligently to prevent "sandbagging", or the practice of fighting down skill levels to ensure one takes home an award.  NAGA has been working with RANKED to track all fighters and ranked grappling events to produce true "national standings."  A by-product of these standings is our knowledge of who has competed and at which level.  Front door personnel will use RANKED data to determine whether or not individuals who have fought in past events belong in a higher skill level (i.e. placed 1st at a prior NAGA event).

NATIONALLY RANKED EVENT
All NAGA events are part of the nationwide ranking system entitled RANKED. Our goal is to determine who the best grapplers in the country are for various age, gender, and skill levels.  Battle at the Beach will be nationally ranked so do not miss your opportunity to gain points towards a true national title. More details can be found at www.nationallyranked.com.

MMA EVENT ON SATURDAY NIGHT
Whether you just like watching mixed martial arts or want to compete in it, here is your chance.  Saturday night after the Adult grappling competition has ended, we will be holding our 4th annual amateur MMA event entitled, Reality Fighting, at the Wildwood Convention Center.  Check out 15 exciting mixed martial arts fights in our new 30 FOOT HEXAGON CAGE. Tickets are available on our website or the night of the fights at the door.  If you would like to fight in the amateur event please fill out the fighter application at www.realityfighting.tv and in the ’Experience’ box note that you want to fight on the 8/1 Battle at the Beach show.
