2008 NAGA NEW ENGLAND - RESCHEDULED: SATURDAY, MARCH 8

 

NAGA was able to reschedule the postponed New England Grappling Championship by securing Cumberland High School in Cumberland, RI for Saturday March 8, 2008.  This is a tremendous facility that we know all of our competitors will be happy with.

Your pre-registration from the 2/23 event is good for this event. If you are pre-registered and unable to attend the March 8th event, you can still use your pre-reg fee towards a future NAGA event. For more info please call NAGA at 860-295-0403.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE PRE-REGISTERED TO COMPETE.

You can weigh-in and register on Friday from 5-8PM. If you cannot make the Friday weigh-in/registration, you can weigh-in/register Saturday beginning at 8AM up till your division begins.

FROM I-295 NORTH OR SOUTH:
Heading either North or South on I-295 take exit 10. Once on the off ramp, bear to the right onto Mendon Rd. (RT-122 N), go about 1 mile, school is on the left.

FROM BOSTON, MA AND POINTS NORTH:
Take I-93 South to I-95 South, take exit 4 onto I-295 South (Toward Woonsocket, RI), go 6.9 miles and take exit 10 Cumberland, RI, (Follow I-295 directions above)

FROM ROUTE 6 (Coming for CT):
Follow Rt. 6 towards Providence, RI, merge onto I-295 North. Head North 11.3 miles, take exit 10 Cumberland, RI, (Follow I-295 directions above)

FROM POINTS SOUTH (CT, NY, NJ):
Take I-95 N toward Providence, RI. Take Exit 11 to I-295 North, follow I-295 to exit 10 (Follow I-295 directions above).

FROM CAPE COD AREA:
Take I-495 North to exit 13 B (I-95 South) follow I-95 South to exit 4 and get on I-295 South, take exit 10 (Follow I-295 directions above

Cumberland High School, Cumberland, RI.  The location is within easy driving distance of Boston, Providence, the South Shore of Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

6 TOP TEAM CUPS
All 6 of our top teams (3 Gi & 3 No-Gi) will receive a NEW ENGLAND Championship Cup.  Each of these huge cups will be custom engraved and handed out at the event.  Don’t miss this opportunity to showcase the talent that your academy possesses.

OCTAGON MEDALS
NAGA will be handing out custom engraved OCTAGON MEDALS to all 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners! These medals are awesome!

FREE BOARD SHORTS
We want to reward those NAGA competitors who compete in numerous NAGA events throughout the year. Anyone who competes in this NAGA New England tournament, then signs up for the NAGA World Championship on April 5 & 6, 2008 in Newark, NJ will receive a FREE pair of NAGA board shorts at the Worlds.

RANKED EVENT
All NAGA events are part of the nationwide ranking system entitled RANKED. Our goal is to determine who the best grapplers in the country are for various age, gender and skill levels. NAGA NEW ENGLAND will be nationally Ranked. Don't miss your opportunity to gain points towards a true National Title. $1000 ABSOLUTE DIVISION
The winner of the No-Gi Absolute division will take home $1000 and a beautiful NAGA Championship Belt. Note: if you compete in any division but Advanced you cannot compete in the Absolute. You can do just the Absolute if you like, you do not have to compete in the regular divisions.
