NAGA SELECTS CHICAGO FOR ITS 1ST MID-WEST EVENT:
The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is America's largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 11,500 competitors worldwide. On Saturday, May 22nd, 2004 the NAGA comes to Illinois for its 1st Annual NAGA CHICAGO Grappling Championship No-Gi & Gi tournament. Come as an individual or as a team to compete.
WHY COMPETE IN NAGA:
The NAGA is a full-time company that has dedicated all its resources to running the most well organized, non-bias grappling events in the world. Our staff of referees are all being flown in from New England. Whether you win or lose, we always want our competitors to feel they participated in a safe, professional, and exciting event. This philosophy is what has made the NAGA extremely popular with grapplers across the world. We hope you can make it to our 1st NAGA event in the mid-west.
OVER 100 GI & NO-GI DIVISIONS THE SAME DAY:
One of the unique advantages of NAGA events is the ability for fighters to compete in both Gi & No-Gi competition the same day for no extra cost. We will be holding all 100 divisions (Gi & No Gi) on Saturday so you can save some cash, only $65 to fight in both Gi & No Gi competition. Pre-Reg fighters will receive a Free Competition T-shirt
RANKED EVENT:
In
the past, the NAGA ranked all it's fighters by accumulating points earned
throughout the year. While this gave a very accurate indication of who ranked
#1 in the NAGA circuit, it didn't take into consideration all the other
grappling events that placed fighters throughout the US. In 2004, MOST
NATIONAL AND REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS have joined forces to track all fighters, in
all grappling events to produce "True National Rankings". The NAGA CHICAGO
event will be Nationally Ranked. Don't miss your opportunity to gain points
towards true "National Title"
KIDS & TEENS DIVSIONS GO 1st:
Kids & Teens will be broken up by age, weight and skill level the day of the event to ensure fair competition (This is to avoid 8 year old competitors fighting 12 year old competitors). Awards for 1st through 4th place in all divisions! 40 Kid and Teen Divisions in all!
